ABR IMPIANTI provides a complete on-site and in-house service with the release of final test certificates for safety, manual, pneumatic, shut off and control valves.
Valves are a critical component on any pressurised system, it is vitally important to know that your valves are operating correctly under the systems pressures. Our project team helps to plan efficient and cost effective solutions for your overhaul. Our pressure testing facilities allow us to test valves specific functions under pressures up to 420 BAR and 20” of diameter. Indeed, ABR IMPIANTI owns a well-equipped workshop of around 500 m² of covered area and 3000 m² of outdoor space where you can find the test benches and all of the ancillary equipment suitable to carry out checks on any kind of valves.
Among the major manufacturers, we mainly deal with: AST – MASONEILAN – CARRARO – FESTO – FISCHER – OMC – PARCOL – SPIRAX SARCO – TAI.
SCOPE OF WORK FOR VALVE SERVICING AND OVERHAUL:
TIPOLOGIE DI VALVOLE
SAFETY VALVES
Counterbalance valves, spring valves, proportional valves and with bellows.
The periodic testing of PSV (Pressure Safety Valve), is one of the activities prescribed by the regulations in force for the proper maintenance of the systems, as prescribed by PED Directives 97/23 and by subsequent Italian Decrees 329 of December 1, 2004 and of 11 April 2011. Valve overhaul is performed in compliance with the manufacturer’s procedures and with the guarantee that the test is performed in accordance to API Standard 527. The test takes place in the presence of officials in charge of public bodies as INAIL, ASL, ARPA or other notified bodies.

All testing is performed either at our workshop or at the customer’s facilities with our test benches approved and certified. The calibration certificate and all of the related documentation is handed over to the Client. Our pressure testing facilities allow us to test valves specific functions under pressures up to 420 BAR and 12” of diameter.
REGULATING CONTROL VALVES
Rotary/airlock valves, alternating valves, control valves, self-regulating valves, pneumatic or electric valves.
The overhaul procedure consists in the following activities: tag of the valve, disassembling, cleaning, check of any parts to be renovated and/or replaced, reassembling, and calibration in compliance with the manufacturer’s procedures and with the guarantee that the test is performed in accordance to API Standard 527. Each procedure implies the check by means of test benches in accordance to the relevant ANSI B 16-104 Standard (Leakage Class Of Control Valve) and UNI ISO Standard.

MANUAL VALVES
Gate valves, check valves, butterfly valves, ball valves, globe valves, disc valves.
The overhaul procedure consists in the following activities: tag of the valve, disassembling, cleaning, check of any parts to be renovated and/or replaced, reassembling, and calibration in compliance with the manufacturer’s procedures and with the guarantee that the test is performed in accordance to the relevant UNI ISO and ANSI Standards.
